After scoring six goals in a win over Boston, Buffalo Bandits forward John Tavares has been named the National Lacrosse League's Overall Player of the Week.

Tavares also dished out three assists in Buffalo's 15-11 win over the Blazers, a victory that locked up a playoff spot for the Bandits.

San Jose forward Colin Doyle was named the Offensive Player of the Week for scoring three goals and assisting on ten others on the Stealth's 18-8 rout over Minnesota.

Tyler Richards was named Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the same game, allowing just eight goals on 54 shots and holding the Swarm scoreless for almost 23 minutes.

Portland's Brodie Merrill was selected as Transition Player of the Week. In two games (loss at Edmonton, win over Colorado), Merrill totalled five goals, three assists and 22 loose ball recoveries.

Stealth forward Rhys Duch earned Rookie of the Week honors by scoring five goals and adding three assists in the 18-8 win over Minnesota.
