Roughnecks remain first in Experts Poll

Calgary loses ground to second-place Buffalo, though

For the second straight week, the Calgary Roughnecks are the top team in the Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll.

Calgary, coming off a 13-10 win over Colorado last Saturday, drew 82 points in the weekly balloting, including five first-place votes. That's actually a step down for the Riggers, who had a perfect 84 points last week.

The beneficiary of Calgary's lost points? Buffalo, the usual suspect. The Bandits got back on the right side of the ledger last weekend, trouncing Portland, 14-4. That earned Buffalo 79 points (two first-place selections).

Boston remains in third place, at 70 points, while Colorado (60 points) continues in fourth.

In fact, there were only two changes -- New York displaced Portland for fifth place, 58 points to 49, while idle Philadelphia slipped past Rochester for eighth, 31-30.

Our panel of seven experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on an 12-11-10-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 84 points and the minimum is seven points.

The complete rankings from this week's Experts Poll, with comments (win-loss record through Sunday is in parentheses):
